Play Five Card Blackjack Online
Five card blackjack is a variant of blackjack where the player is dealt five cards and has the option to draw additional cards. The goal is to get as close to 21 as possible without going over. While this may seem like a disadvantage at first, there are some strategies that can be employed to increase the chances of winning. In this blog post, we will take a look at five card blackjack and some tips and tricks for playing it effectively.
First of all, when you're playing online blackjack, you're usually playing against the dealer, not other players. This means that you don't have to worry about other players' hands; you only need to focus on your own hand and the dealer's hand.
The first thing to keep in mind when playing five card blackjack is that the dealer does not have the same restrictions as the player. The dealer can hit on any hand, regardless of what their total is. This means that the player needs to be more careful when it comes to hitting. If the player's hand totals between 16 and 20, they should stand. If the player's hand totals between 12 and 15, they should hit if the dealer's up card is a seven or higher. If the player's hand totals less than 12, they should always hit.
Another important thing to remember is that pairs should be split whenever possible. This gives the player a better chance of getting closer to 21 without going over. However, there are some exceptions to this rule. Pairs of fives and tens should never be split because these hands have a good chance of winning as they are. Pairs of nines should only be split if the dealer's up card is two through six. Finally, pairs of eights should always be split because they have a good chance of winning against most dealer up cards.
Now that we've gone over the basics, let's get into how to actually play the game. When you're dealt your hand, you'll need to decide whether or not you want to 'stand' or 'hit.' If you 'stand,' this means that you're happy with the hand you have and you don't want any more cards. If you 'hit,' this means that you want another card from the dealer.
You can hit as many times as you want until you either go over 21 (which automatically makes you lose) or until you decide to stand.
Once all the players have either gone over 21 or chosen to stand, it's then up to the dealer to play their hand. The dealer will always hit if their hand totals 16 or less; if their hand totals 17 or more, they will always stand.
If your hand beats the dealer's hand (meaning it's closer to 21), then you win! It's really that simple. Now get on Free Daily Spins and start playing!
Five card blackjack can be a fun and exciting way to play blackjack online. By following these simple tips and tricks, players can increase their chances of winning big!
Objective - Five card
The goal of the game for a player is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand without exceeding 21 or by the Dealer's hand going bust (going over 21).
8 decks are used, 52 cards each. Cards are shuffled after each game.
The value of a hand is simply the sum of points of each card in the hand. In Blackjack, cards are valued in the following way:
The cards from 2 through 9 have their face values;
10, Jack, Queen, and King are all valued at 10;
An Ace can be counted as either 1 or 11. An Ace always has the value that makes the best hand. Suppose you have Ace, 7. The value of this hand can be either 8 or 18. If you stop here, it will be 18. But let's assume you've drawn one more card. The hand contains Ace, 7, 8. Its total value is 16;
Blackjack is an initial two-card combination consisting of an ace and a ten-value card. Blackjack is the highest hand in the game; and
The second highest hand in the game is a five-card trick, which is defined as any 5-card hand that has not bust. All five-card tricks are of the same value, the point total does not matter.
Betting Limits - per hand
Minimum bet: 50p
Maximum bet: £100 (the maximum single bet that can be placed on the hand is £100 however, you can double this if the option becomes available).
You are allowed to bet on up to two hands. Click the DEAL button to start dealing the cards. You are dealt two cards face-up, while the Dealer is dealt one card face-up. If you play multiple hands, several cards will be dealt to you. For each hand, two cards are dealt face up. In this case each hand will be treated separately.
Once two cards are dealt, the Dealer checks for Blackjack:
If the Dealer has a Blackjack, your and the dealer's hands are compared.
If the Dealer doesn't have Blackjack, then your hand is treated and the game proceeds as usual - with Stand, Hit and Buy options offered.
Stand - You can STAND on any total greater or equal to 15, or on any 5-card hand. Click STAND button to stop drawing cards to your hand. Once you click STAND you either move to playing the next hand or if it is the only or the last of your hands - the Dealer's hand starts being played.
Hit- Click the HIT button to draw an additional card to a hand. You can draw as many cards as required. If the total reaches 21, your hand automatically stops. If your hand busts (its total exceeds 21), your hand loses. You can Hit at any point, including after buying.
Buy - Click BUY to double your original bet amount and get one more card to your hand. You can buy on 2 to 4 cards, but only once per hand. You can double after splitting.
The Dealer starts playing his hand once all the player's hands are completed. Dealer sticks if the sum of his cards is less than 17 or is a Soft 17 (a hand that includes an Ace valued as '11', for example a hand consisting of Ace+6, or Ace+2+4). Dealer must stand if the sum of his cards is hard 17 or more.
After a player stands with a hand (stops to draw cards) and after the Dealer completes his hand, the player's and the Dealer's hands are compared. The winning hand is considered the one, which total is greater.
If your hand total is higher than the dealer's without busting, you win
If you have a Blackjack while the dealer does not, you win
If you have a 5-card trick while dealer does not, you win
You lose in case of tie hands, in case your hand busts or dealer's hand is of higher value than yours.
