Play Face Up Blackjack Online
Playing blackjack online is a great way to get some casino action without having to leave the comfort of your own home. And while there are many different blackjack variants out there, one of the most popular is face up blackjack. In this article, we'll give you a quick overview of how to play face up blackjack online so you can hit the tables with confidence.
The basic premise of face up blackjack is simple: instead of the dealer's cards being dealt face down, they're dealt face up. This gives you a big advantage as a player because you can always see what the dealer has, meaning you can make better decisions about whether to hit, stand, or double down. Of course, this also means that the house has a lower edge in this variant of the game.
Face Up Blackjack, also known as American Blackjack, is a variant of the classic Blackjack card game. In Face Up Blackjack, all of the cards are dealt face up, so that both the player and the dealer can see them. This variant is played with six decks of cards and allows players to split their hand up to three times.
When playing face up blackjack online, you'll still be dealt two cards face up and the dealer will be dealt two cards—one face up and one face down. From there, you can either hit, stand, double down, or split just like in any other blackjack game. If you're not sure what to do, there are plenty of blackjack guides online that can help you make the right decision based on the dealer's hand.
Now that we've gone over the basics of the game, let's get into some tips on how to play Face Up Blackjack like a pro.
The first thing to keep in mind when playing Face Up Blackjack is that your goal should be to beat the dealer's hand, not necessarily to get 21 points. In fact, in some situations, it may be wiser to stand on a lower number of points than to risk going over 21 and busting.
Another important tip is to pay attention to what cards have already been dealt. Because Face Up Blackjack is played with six decks of cards, it is possible to keep track of which cards have already been played and which are still in the deck. This information can be used to your advantage when making decisions about whether to hit or stand.
Finally, don't be afraid to take insurance when offered by the dealer. Insurance essentially allows you to bet that the dealer has a blackjack—a hand totalling 21 points—and if they do, you will be paid out at 2-1 odds. Even though this may seem like a long shot, taking insurance can actually be a wise move in certain situations.
Face up blackjack is a great way to play online blackjack with a lower house edge. And while it may seem daunting at first to see the dealer's cards, with a little practice you'll be making confident decisions in no time. So why not try your luck at face up blackjack today? The best online Blackjack is always at Free Daily Spins.
Face Up 21 is a variation of Blackjack where both the player and the Dealer are dealt their cards face-up. Seeing both of the Dealer's cards -face up-, allows the player to make a decision.
For the Player, the objective of the game is to beat the Dealer's hand by either getting a better hand without exceeding 21 or by the Dealer's hand going bust (i.e. going over 21).
8 decks are used, 52 cards each. Cards are shuffled after each game.
The value of a hand is simply the sum of the point values of each card in the hand. In Blackjack, cards are valued in the following way:
The cards from 2 through 9 have their face values;
10, Jack, Queen, and King are all valued at 10;
An Ace can be counted as either 1 or 11. An Ace always has the value that makes the best hand. Suppose you have Ace and 7. The value of this hand can be either 8 or 18. If you stop here, it will be 18. But let's assume you've drawn one more card. The hand contains Ace, 7 and 8. Its total value is 16; and
Blackjack is an initial two-card combination consisting of an ace and a ten-value card.
Betting Limits - per hand
Minimum bet: 50p
Maximum bet: £100. The maximum single bet that can be placed on the hand is £100 however, you can double this if the option becomes available.
You are allowed to bet on up to two hands. Click the DEAL button to start dealing the cards. Both you and the Dealer are dealt two cards. You all receive cards face up. If you play multiple hands, several cards will be dealt to you. For each hand played, two cards are dealt face up. In this case each hand will be treated separately.
Where the dealer has Blackjack and the player's hands do not, the Dealer automatically wins. Where the Player has Blackjack and the dealer does not, the player automatically wins. Where both the Dealer and Player do not have Blackjack, the following options will become available:
Double - The Player can double after the first two cards have been dealt and before drawing an additional (third) card. Click DOUBLE to double your original bet amount and get one more card added to your hand. After this, no more cards can be added to the hand.
Note: You are only allowed to double the initial bet if the sum of the first two cards dealt to you is 9, 10 or 11. No splits are available in this version of Blackjack.
Hit - click the HIT button to draw an additional card for your hand. You can draw as many cards as required. If the total reaches 21, drawing cards stops automatically. If your hand busts (its total exceeds 21), your hand loses and will clear from the screen.
Stand - click the STAND button to stop drawing cards for your hand. Once STAND is clicked, play either moves to the next hand or, if it is the only or the last hand, then the Dealer will start to play his hand.
Once all of the player's hands have completed, the Dealer starts playing his hand. The Dealer must hit if the sum of his cards is less than 17 or is a soft 17 (a hand that includes an Ace valued as '11' for example a hand consisting of Ace+6 or Ace+2+4). The Dealer must stand if his hand is a hard 17 or higher.
Once the Player and the Dealer have both completed their hands, then the Player's and the Dealer's hands are compared.
The winning hand is the one with the highest total without busting.
If both the Player and the Dealer have Blackjack, then the Player wins. Otherwise the Dealer wins all other tied hands.
Note: if your hand busts, you lose, even if the dealer's hand busts as well.
